CompactDry ETB - Enterobacteriacae

CompactDry ETB is a very easy to use system to detect Enterobacteriacae. The media contains glucose and selective agents for differentiation and enumeration of Enterobacteriaceae. Enterobacteriacae are red/purple coloured. Red/purple coloured colonies plus other coloured colonies together form the total gram negative bacteria count.

Enterobacteriaceae are facultative anaerobic Gram-negative bacteria. They are commonly found in the environment and animal intestines.

Many foodborne pathogens form part of the Enterobacteriaceae including Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Escherichia, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella, Serratia, Shigella, and Yersinia.

Enterobacteriaceae test is a release parameter for various foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and cosmetics samples.
